With her personal highlights so far including getting hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to accompany him on stage during the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has kept up an unstoppable songwriting schedule despite the hectic recent years. Being a magnet for producers, Niykee is constantly looking through beats being sent to her. She has found that the majority are a source of new songs. She states that she can determine if the beat is good in just five minutes. And then, a brand new song may pop up in her mind. While I'm on my porch and play guitar, my lyrics simply appear and usually are completed in less than thirty minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her skills as a poet and lyricist. She says that her experiences of suffering through the years is a constant source of unique motivation. "Even even if I'm not writing about my life directly, the sadness of losing my sister as well as my difficult childhood experiences are integrated into my songs," she says. The loss of my sister as well as my childhood influence the music that I compose. It's important to me to attach a profound significance to all I perform.
