
Carrie-Anne Moss (born August 21, 1967[1(born on August 21, 1967[1]) is a Canadian actress from Canada. Following her first appearance on television her name was brought to fame internationally for her portrayal of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was her first major role. She was awarded the Independent Spirit Award, Best Supporting Female, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) brought her the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress. Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). In addition, she played Jeri Hogarth in a variety of television shows that were produced by Marvel Television for Netflix, including Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss was living in Spain at the time, was offered the role as Tara Marshall who served as the clerk to the Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first time on TV. Moss relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles with the series in 1992. Moss had to leave Dark Justice before the series its third and final season and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn, who played Samantha "Sam" Collins. Following her return, she enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. At the academy she worked as a model and later starred on Fox's primetime soap Opera Models Inc. The show was cut in July 1995. She was the lead actress in a short-lived Canadian-made series called Matrix. [3] Throughout the 1990s she was an actor in several television series including Street Justice and Baywatch. She also appeared in F/X: The Series and Due South. Due South was nominated for the Gemini Award for Best Guest Artist in the field of Drama. Her film credits included numerous B films like Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
